Ironically, the organisation and facilitating of our recent health retreat has resulted in a rather UN-healthy toll on my own well-being;
🔴 A lot of stress (+ some extra “stress wines” if I’m being honest)
😴 Sleep deprivation
🙅🏽‍♀️Being a lot more sedentary, with both long drives and no time for purposeful movement
⏰ Irregular meal times, and grab and go eating
🥒 Lacking my usual high intake of veggies, and eating a bit too much of freshly made sourdough (yes, YUM!)
💦 Not enough water as I rushed from place to place
👣 Not enough time connecting with nature, and definitely not barefoot or with much skin exposed to the sun as it was much too cold 🥶

This short term load of imbalances was necessary to do what we had to do, but I can definitely feel the impacts on my mental and physical health, reality is many people live out each and every day with these imbalances with the foundations of health - and this is EXACTLY how disease and health conditions are triggered.
I know my body deserves a little more TLC to help bounce back from this, and to nip these habits in the bud. So I am putting myself on a little 14 day reset, to help restore my well-being.

Starting tomorrow my reset will include;
✖️ no coffee to restore my adrenals, substituted with herbal teas
✖️ no alcohol to help my little liver and break the “emotional drinking” habit
😴 sleep ins every second day rather than my usual 4am wake ups, to help my adrenals
🗒 create a wholesome menu plan, heavy on the veggies, and grain/dairy free
💦 loads of water
👣 daily purposeful movement, schedule in my sessions and write them in my diary
🔥 infrared sauna 3x per week, to stimulate my lymphatic system and cleanse that sluggishness
👩🏽‍💻 reduced workload over the next fortnight so I have the space to rebuild these healthy habits. Topping up my own health is critical so I can continue to help others do the same ♥️
