Have you ever tried Couch to 5K? I actually have not 🙈Why not? Because for the longest time I was a REALLY EPIC competitive runner - it was like second nature to me….and then I overdid it...my periods stopped, I ran to the point where I fractured my foot, and I did something to my knee that still isn’t healed. So I stopped...cold turkey stopped running like I cold turkey stopped drinking sweet tea when I gaind 20-30 pounds my freshman year of college and wanted to get it off (a story for another day)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, when it comes to running, I feel like a little boost and my determination to try something new this time will keep me through! Next week I get to be among the first to try out a new workout- that combines lifting AND running (because good runners are strong runners!).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There is an audio track for the ENTIRE run- so no staring at my watch wondering when I can stop running. The trainer walks you through the whole thing! I listened to the sample of this and oh my gosh, it was perfect! She explained when and why we tempo run, hiit, and rest/walk.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m excited- but nervous! I don’t want to overdo it again. I would love to get a small group together to keep me accountable- and off the couch! Want to try it out? Then you have to sign up on the “Let’s Run” form in my bio to join in.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Oh and PS THANK GOD it’s not all running, there’s strength training 5 days a week! #weightsdothebodygood
